Job Summary:
As the Assistant Manager at The Food Shack and Rising Tide BBQ, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of both the front of the house and back of the house. You will support the management team in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high food quality, and leading a team of passionate staff members. The ideal candidate will be available for flexible scheduling, possess strong leadership abilities, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and excel in various station responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Assist in overseeing daily operations to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and service.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and support to front and back of house staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Customer Service: Ensure that all guests receive outstanding service; address customer complaints and feedback effectively.
- Inventory & Supply Management: Aid in monitoring inventory levels and managing stock to minimize waste and ensure availability.
- Food Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and cleanliness in the workplace.
- Training & Development: Support continuous staff training programs to enhance team performance and service excellence.
- Station Proficiency: Be willing and able to work in various stations as needed, demonstrating versatility and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the food service industry.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including both front and back of house functions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a diverse team.
- Open availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights and weekends.
- Passion for food, customer service, and the restaurant industry.
Schedule
- Your weekly schedule will be provided prior to start of the work week.
- The Food Shack is open Monday - Saturday from 11am - 8pm. Monday, Friday and Saturday availability required.
