Server
Summary: Responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience at the Food Shack & Rising Tide BBQ. Responsible for keeping stations stocked, clean, and organized and helping to maintain a clean and well-organized restaurant at all times.
- Primary responsibilities
1.) Ensure a positive customer experience and deliver the “extra mile experience” for our guests.
2.) Customer Contact
- Greet & welcome every guest
- Take guests orders
- Answer phone calls and assist customers
3.) Restaurant maintenance and cleanliness
- Clean and tidy customer dining and contact areas
- Customer self-service stations clean, stocked, and orderly
- Parking and area surrounding the restaurant kept tidy
4.) Service supply inventory
- Notify management of upcoming product shortages
- Service supply areas kept fully stocked and orderly
- Beverage cooler kept fully stocked
- Retail area stocked and orderly
5.) Direct second server/Service Crew to assist with:
- Food running, bagging, cleaning, stocking, etc.
- Secondary responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion acai bowls
- Complete “side-work” tasks as directed by management after primary responsibilities are carried out during down times
- Character and qualifications

- Take pride in your work and job well done.
- Never have an “its not my job” attitude.
- Must be professional and presentable at all times
- Be physically able to reach bend and stoop, and lift 20 lb
Qualifications
Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment (preferred, but will train the right fit)
Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers
Strong customer service skills with a focus on satisfaction
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
Experience in upselling and increasing sales through recommendations
Schedule
- Your weekly schedule will be provided prior to start of the work week.
- The Food Shack is open Monday - Saturday from 11am - 8pm. Monday, Friday and Saturday availability required.
Compensation:
- $5 hr 80% of credit card tip pool
- 100% of cash tips
- Guaranteed minimum $18
