Great opportunity to work with an established company to help open a new warehouse in Pottstown, PA. Seeking a self-directed, smart working individual to support warehouse operations for a growing seasoning and ingredient business.
This position will work a temperature-controlled environment that will involve team collaboration, material handling, inventory management, and following GMP's to ensure a clean and safe work space.
Responsibilities
Shipping and Receiving: Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments. Inspect goods for damage and verify products, quantities and lots against shipping documents.
Material Handling Equipment Operation: Safely operate a powered pallet jack, forklift and deep reach truck to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
Inventory Management: Enter inventory data into computer systems accurately and timely. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are correct.
Physical Labor: Lift and move boxes and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly, with the ability to lift up to or move 80 lbs occasionally.
Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
Sanitation: Perform required sanitation activities where assigned including but not limited to all warehouse surfaces, bathrooms and exterior.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff to meet shipping deadlines and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment ensuring compliance with all company and OSHA requirements.
Experience And Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic Computer Skills, Including Experience With Inventory Management Systems.
Forklift certification preferred but not required (training will be provided if necessary).
Prior warehouse or logistics experience
Prior experience operating material handling equipment to include electric pallet jacks, fork trucks and deep reach trucks.
Attention to detail is a must. Picking orders, loading trucks, driving a lift for at least 3 hours a day in a warehouse setting.
Reading shipping paperwork. Able to drive and lift in a warehouse setting for 4 plus hours a day and the rest will be picking orders, cleaning the warehouse.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of 8-10 hour shift
Ability to work in a warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include early mornings, nights, weekends depending on the needs of the customer.
Schedule typically 7:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday
