Manufacturing Superuser

The Ford Meter Box Co., Inc., (fordmeterbox.com), is seeking a Manufacturing Superuser. Key job duties include but are not limited to:

· Perform continual maintenance and enhancements of the J.D. Edwards system.

· Analyze material and labor variances to closed work orders, determine root cause, and develop and implement solutions.

· Assist in managing cycle count program. Investigate problem areas and develop and implement solutions.

· Analyze data entries, reports, etc., for input or system errors, determine root cause, develop and implement solutions.

· Assist departments in accessing system information in order to operate more efficiently, while training them on use and understanding of the system.

· Provide training to JDE end users as required.

· Provide input to configure JDE system to best serve the company.

· Serve as a liaison between IT and Manufacturing in assisting with JDE issues.

· Work with Engineering to set up product costing, bills of material and routings.

· Multi-task and develop optimal solutions from sometimes difficult scenarios with great attention to detail.

· Assist in the implementation and maintenance of 3PL warehousing operations.

· Assist with and maintain auxiliary computer programs and applications.

· Work with various departments to correctly close out credit orders and CCRs.

· Provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the production floor (work the bench).

· Analyze MRP parameters with production to ensure plan accuracy.

· Modify routers for rework parts, sub parts and alter parts lists to help maintain traceability.

· Assist with all computer related activities involved with year end physical inventory.

· Monitor open outside operation work orders and communicate with purchasing on work orders/purchase orders that need to be checked on at vendors.

· Provide costing for quote department and backup as needed to provide customer quotes.

Utilizes Microsoft Excel, Word and JDE. Must have basic computer skills and the ability to expand computer knowledge as required with company provided training. Bachelor's Degree (*B.A.)* from four-college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates must have the ability to work independently, have strong organizational skills and initiative while working with the group.
