Position Overview:

The Forest Club is hiring enthusiastic and confident lifeguardsto help keep our members, their guests, and staff safe around the pool. Our team is dedicated to providing a safe, fun environment for our members, their guests, and our staff. Our swimming pool is the hub for summer activities for our families! Don’t have a lifeguard certification? The Forest Club offers free lifeguard training and rectification.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor swimmers and guests in and around the pool area of The Forest Club.
- Enforce all safety regulations and rules established by The Forest Club to ensure a safe environment for all visitors.
- Provide assistance and guidance to swimmers as needed, including proper use of equipment and adherence to swimming guidelines.
- Conduct regular surveillance of the swimming pool to identify any potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues, first aid incidents, or other medical emergencies.
- Administer first aid and CPR as necessary until additional medical personnel arrive.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Participate in regular training sessions and drills to maintain and improve lifeguarding skills.
- Assist with the implementation of emergency action plans and evacuation procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall success of operations at The Forest Club.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Possess current lifeguard certification from a recognized training agency, including CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard preferred.
- Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices.
- Excellent observational skills and the ability to remain attentive and focused for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations, with the capacity to make quick and sound decisions.
- Physical fitness and endurance to perform job duties, including swimming and rescues.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
