Job Title: Urology Surgeon Physician Services - Reference #: 24-16708 Company: The Forrest Group Location: Columbia, SC 29209 Positions Available: 2 Rate: $192 - $200/Hour Start Date: 11/02/2024 End Date: 11/01/2025 Job Type: Full-Time, Contract Experience Level: Experienced Application Deadline: 09/06/2024 Job Description: TFG-STAFFING is seeking two Board Certified Urology Surgeons to provide high-quality surgical services at the VA Health Care System in Columbia, SC. The selected physicians will perform a full range of urology surgery services, including clinical coverage, consultations, evaluations, assessments, treatments, and both minor and major surgical procedures. On-call coverage and call-backs are required in addition to the standard 40-hour workweek. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert urology surgery services in a state-of-the-art medical facility. Conduct evaluations, consultations, and assessments, followed by appropriate treatment plans. Perform minor and major surgical procedures as required. Provide on-call coverage and be available for call-backs outside of regular clinic hours. Collaborate with administrative personnel to manage and monitor consultation requests. Ensure timely and accurate completion of patient consults and progress notes in accordance with VA standards. Maintain the highest standards of care, meeting or exceeding recognized national benchmarks. Place of Performance: Primary Site: VA Health Care System, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209 Qualifications: License: Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Board Certification: Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Urology Surgeons and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications. Hours of Operation: Regular clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Operating days are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Physicians must report at least 20 minutes prior to the start of each shift. On-call coverage is required 24/7, including federal holidays, with the expectation to remain within a 30-minute travel radius of the Columbia VA Health Care System when on-call. Standards of Care: Physicians are expected to adhere to the highest standards of care, meeting or exceeding recognized national benchmarks, including those set by the American Association for Urologists.
