Jennie Joiner with The Forum Group PNW is assisting our Medford, Oregon client to fill this important Staff Accountant role. The ideal candidate will be preparing tax compliance reports, general ledger entries, fixed asset accounting, account reconciliations, budget versus actual reporting, maintaining internal controls, audit support, and project management. Responsibilities
- Act as the primary support person to the Controller and the Finance Team for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial activities.
- Reconcile the organization’s bank statements and balance sheet accounts monthly promptly and accurately.
- Provide knowledgeable support to accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, records management, and period-end processes.
- Assist the Controller in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Operate effectively within the organization’s internal controls for financial reporting to assure compliance with all key control principles.
- Provide support in the preparation of annual audits for the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred
- 2 years' experience in accounting ideally in a the non-profit sector
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
