What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Analyst position at The Forum Group?
Distinguished and growing law firm is hiring a billing coordinator to join a very productive group. As the billing coordinator you will compile, manage, and execute attorney billing. You may also perform a variety of other accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures. The most important piece to this role is maintaining contact with attorneys, staff, vendors and clients and observes confidentiality of client and firm matters.
About the job:
- Compile and bill attorney hours to clients every month.
- Process write-offs following Firm policy.
- Execute complex bills in a timely manner (i.e., multiple discounts by matter, split-party billing, and preparation of electronic bills).
- Create new billing formats as needed.
- Create billing schedules and various other billing analyses as required.
About you:
- College level accounting classes or Accounting Degree
- 4-6 or more years hands-on billing experience in a law firm
- CMS, Elite, 3E, Javelan (or equivalent accounting software) experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
