Job Description
As a key member of our team at The Forum Group, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to personal injury lawyers. This includes assisting with clerical duties, such as answering phones and managing paperwork.
You will also play a crucial role in the litigation process, preparing witnesses and clients for depositions, transcribing legal documents, and scheduling court hearings and other proceedings.
- Understanding of medical terminology, common injuries, and basic human anatomy is essential for this role.
- You will be responsible for interviewing and screening prospective clients, as well as gathering and reviewing medical reports and insurance information.
Day-to-Day Duties
As a Paralegal Assistant on our team, you will stay busy supporting our personal injury lawyers. Your tasks may include filing paperwork, interviewing potential clients, reviewing police and witness reports, and scheduling medical examination appointments and follow-ups.
- You will need to understand and stay up to date with state laws governing personal injury.
- Beyond that, you will work closely with clients to gather information about accidents and injuries, and assist with trial preparation.
