Job Summary :
The Family Support staff will be responsible for assisting the families and children that utilize our program. You will make them feel welcomed and help them get the items they need. Your job is to help with the everyday process of running the clothing closet. This role is vital to our program to allow everything to run smoothly. The Closet Employee will report to the Program Director.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Assist families and children coming into the closet.
Greet families and children and help make them feel welcome.
Gather information from families as needed.
Helping families find the items needed for each child.
Packing premade bags for families and children.
Assist with the checkout process for each child.
Connect families with other resources in the community if needed.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Use of computers for various applications such as POS and word processing.
Operate office equipment such as copiers and phone systems.
Ability to work independently.
Requirements :
Have a high school diploma.
Experience is not required. Training will be provided.
Will need to be able to pass a background check and be in good standing with the department of child protective services.
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing while performing job duties.
Physically, must be able to frequently lift and / or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 75 lb.
