What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mathematics Teacher position at The Foundation for Hispanic Education?
The Foundation for Hispanic Education is seeking dynamic and passionate Mathematics teachers who can develop our student’s ability to use math as a tool for social change. As Mathematics teachers at our charter schools, educators will work closely with the Principal and department teachers to execute the Mathematics department's mission and vision. We are seeking teachers who are passionate about working with our demographic and committed to student success. Teachers at our new school sites will have the unique opportunity to help develop a four-year Math course sequence with a college-prep focus. The Foundation for Hispanic Education (TFHE) was established in 1981 as a product of the late Dr. B. Roberto Cruz’s vision of providing quality education and support for all underserved learners, with a focus on Latino students. With 106 committed staff members, TFHE now serves over 1,050 students from the community neighborhoods of Mayfair, Mt. Pleasant, Sylvandale, Santee, and Alum Rock in East San Jose. TFHE operates three charter high schools. Credential Copy (may include Provisional Intern Permit, Short Term Staffing Permit, Internship Credential) or appeasement letter (in place of credential).
