We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Case Manager to join our legal team. This position involves managing all aspects of personal injury cases, including both pre-suit and litigation phases. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of the personal injury process, and the ability to provide compassionate support to clients while ensuring efficient case management.
Duties
Position: Pre-Suit Case Manager
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent communication and providing updates on case progress.
- Gather and review necessary documentation, including police reports, medical records, and insurance information.
- Coordinate medical treatment for clients and maintain detailed records of treatment progress.
- Prepare demand packages by compiling medical summaries, bills, and supporting documentation for settlement negotiations.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters to negotiate settlements and resolve claims efficiently.
- Monitor and adhere to case timelines and deadlines to ensure timely resolution.
Position: Litigation Case Manager
- Assist attorneys with the transition of cases from pre-suit to litigation, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests under attorney supervision.
- Coordinate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses as needed.
- Manage litigation calendars, including tracking deadlines for pleadings, discovery, and court appearances.
- Organize and prepare trial materials, including exhibits, deposition summaries, and witness lists.
- Support attorneys during depositions, mediations, and trial proceedings.
Experience
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- 2-year minimum experience in Personal Injury law is required including pre-suit or litigation phases.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Exceptional understanding of personal injury laws, procedures, and medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
