Killington, Vermont's largest hospitality management company—the Karr Group—seeks a Barback with experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant and bar to join our dynamic team of hospitality professionals!
The barback’s role is to ensure that the bar has everything it needs during service to keep things running smoothly: clean glasses and mixers, enough garnishes, beer and wine, liquor, ice, and more.
As the barback, you are essential to setting up your team for success and ensuring that the bar operates smoothly and efficiently. You are responsible for keeping the service area tidy, monitoring supply, and restocking as necessary. You are a skilled multitasker, efficient, reliable, and perceptive, with excellent communication and time management skills. You are a team player and take direction well.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of liquors, spirits, beers, wines, and flavor profiles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to learn, understand, and execute daily recipes and menus.
- Willingness to participate in pre-service preparation and closing duties.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Dedication to upholding hospitality standards to create memorable guest experiences.
- Working knowledge of all menu items.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
