We are looking for a Server to join our team!
Who are we? Foundry Social is the premier Northeast Ohio entertainment facility, and is located in the heart of Medina, Ohio. We serve guests and clients from Cleveland, Akron, Medina, and surrounding communities.
A guest server takes orders, answers questions about the menu and food, sells food and drinks, takes payment, communicates orders with the kitchen staff, seats customers, and helps with customer service and cleaning. The guest server must be knowledgeable of both the food menu, the bar drink menu, and the craft beer selections. In addition, the guest server may be utilized in the event room for special functions.

Duties and Responsibilities – The Fine Print
- Maintain a fun, safe atmosphere for guests.
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
- Prepare dining and beverage tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
- Answer questions and/or make recommendations for complementary items.
- Accurately take orders, produce bills, and take payment from customers using the Toast POS system.
- Deliver food and beverage to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Follow up with all customers shortly after delivering their food or beverage orders to be sure all the customer’s needs are met.
- Ask for and look at proper identification documents to ensure legal consumption of alcohol.
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff.
- Maintain a positive attitude when dealing with complaints or difficulties with customers.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications

Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or equivalent plus two years experience in high volume/fast paced restaurants. The job requires the ability to lead and guide the work of others and perform multiple tasks concurrently to maintain service commitments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is to remain in a motion for 90 percent of the time. The individual needs to move about the restaurant floor with ease and quickness to access tools, equipment, food, beverage, customers, and other necessary items to meet the customer’s needs. Most of the activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the restaurant. They must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 60 pounds. The individual must be capable of carrying and loading different parts and tools required to do the job, including but not limited to trays of plated food and beverage.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals (cleaning/sanitary chemical). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
