What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Scientific Services Specialist - Lab Support Service Coordinator position at The Fountain Group?

Currently seeking a Lab Support Specialist in New Haven, CT. Details for the position are as follows :

Pay : $25-30 / hr.
Shift : Mon-Fri, 7 : 30am - 5 : 00pm
12-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.

Responsibilities :

Serve as the primary point of contact for lab staff, facilitating lab needs, coordinating services, and ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory environment.

Manage lab inventory, including glassware, PPE, and consumables, while ensuring timely waste removal and maintaining cleanliness in the lab areas.

Coordinate third-party vendor visits for maintenance and repairs, and act as the liaison between the customer and service providers.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure compliance, safety, and quality within the lab, including conducting regular meetings and supporting health and safety initiatives.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma / GED, or Associates Degree with laboratory experience is Required.

OR Bachelor's Degree with academic laboratory experience.

Experience with GLP / GxP regulations is Preferred

Experience with 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) principles Preferred.

Experience with inventory management is Preferred.

Experience with maintenance and / or calibration of lab equipment is Preferred.
