What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician I position at The Fountain Group?
We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Electrical Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Holtsville NY Details for the position are as follows :
- 26hr based on previous experience.
- This is an onsite position. 1st shift, 9am start time M-F
- 10 months initially (possibility of extending or converting based on performance, budget, and need).
- The candidate will be performing the following tests : EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) pre-compliance testing which is a series of tests and measurements conducted on electronic devices or equipment to assess their electromagnetic emissions before undergoing formal compliance testing for regulatory certification.
- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype products.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions.
- Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience, 0-2 experience required.
