Entry Level Microbiologist

Details:

• Pay for this position is 25.00 to 28.00 hourly depending on experience.
• This position is a six month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent.
• Location: West Sacramento, CA
• Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Requirements:

• Some experience with microbiology techniques (can be from academic lab)
• Knowledge of aseptic technique
• Ability to multi-task, and good organizational skills.

Description

• The Development Scientist (Microbiology) assists in antimicrobial susceptibility testing for a new project within the Development Scientist organization.
• The incumbent performs experiments as defined and planned by the supervisor; reviews test results for experimental error and determines if repeats are required, and provides project support to the team as needed.
• Duties will include: subculturing isolates for testing, performing laboratory experiments, documenting results, and maintaining a safe environment within the laboratory.
