What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health Safety Specialist position at The Fountain Group?
Job Description:
- Pay: $35-41 hourly, depending on experience level
- Fully onsite position ASAP start
- Contract: 6-months to start (potential to extend/convert based on performance/budget)
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the implementation of all Environmental, Health & Safety programs consistent with federal, state, local and corporate regulatory requirements. Duties include:
- Implementing hazardous, biological/medical, and radioactive waste programs including routine pickup, transportation, accounting, processing and shipping activities
- Conducting regulatory required inspections of equipment, incoming materials and areas
- Working on routing EHS assignments per written procedures/policies, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
Qualifications:
- Minimum HSD/GED with 2 years of experience or Associates Degree with 1 year of experience.
- Hazardous waste collection/safety experience
- Comfortable in research or laboratory environment.
- Good communication skills
