Laboratory Technician - Trumbull, CT

Seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team in Trumbull, CT. As a key member of our wash lab, you will assist in the execution of laundry product performance testing. Key responsibilities include:

• Aiding in the assessment of prototype products and advertising claims.
• Executing routine testing methodologies with excellence, once properly trained.
• Learning to follow standard operating procedures for washing, drying, and test preparation.
• Independently preparing tests, including labeling fabrics and towels, and applying stains.
• Becoming knowledgeable in all aspects of test procedures, including operating instrumentation and automation.
• Interacting with test requesters to clarify product and test design specifications.
• Ensuring stains are produced correctly, accurately applied, and the final result is satisfactory.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the wash lab.
• Compiling data for group scientists to analyze.
• Assisting in inventory management of lab supplies.
• Working a standard Monday to Friday schedule with a 40-hour workweek.
• Competitive hourly rate, with opportunities for conversion or extension based on performance.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a lab environment is essential.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
