We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team in Gilbert, Arizona! This onsite, 5 month contract role involves a range of tasks to ensure smooth procurement operations. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform heavy administrative tasks including order entry and follow-up to ensure timely deliveries.
- Review invoices pending in the MAPLE system (system used for tracking past-due invoices).
- Expedite past-due purchase orders and parts on order, ensuring delivery timelines are met.
- Review and confirm order acknowledgments with suppliers to ensure accurate processing.
- Conduct monthly forecasts and review them before sending to suppliers.
- Send weekly open order reports to suppliers, ensuring they have the most current information.
- Update lead times and place purchase orders (POs) based on inventory and demand.
- Communicate with vendors and customers to locate missing parts, inventory, and materials.
- Resolve discrepancies between vendors and internal systems, tracking all communication in Excel.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of buying experience required.
- Strong administrative skills with experience in order entry and order follow-up.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Excellent communication skills for vendor and customer interactions.
- High School Diploma/GED required; AS/BS degree preferred.
- APICS certifications a plus, but not required.
- Experience with the MAPLE system is preferred but not mandatory.
Pay: $25 to $30 per hour
