Research Associate III

Details:

• Pay for this position is 40.00 to 45.07 hourly depending on experience.
• This position is an 18-month contract with the possibility of extension.
• 100% on-site in Oceanside, CA (no hybrid/ no remote)
• Working Hours: Mon-Fri (8am-5pm or 8:30am-5pm)

Education & Experience Requirements:

• BS or MS degree in a relevant scientific discipline
• Experience with performing cell culture
• Experience working with proteins, fusion proteins or mAbs.
• Experience with analytical methods such as ELISA, cell binding assay, or reporter assay

Summary

• Support in-house sample analysis, functional characterization and assay development activities.
• Perform routine sample analysis supporting comparability and formulation robustness studies, participate in cell-based assay development, optimization, and qualification.
• Perform cell-based reporter assay and flow cytometry analysis to support late-stage biologics projects.
• Plan and execute assigned experiments that support assay development activities and project goals.
• Participate in group meetings to share test results.
• Operate scientific equipment, selects appropriate methods and techniques to perform experiments, and prepare related reports.
• Develop flow cytometry, flow imaging assays, and explore new technologies and methodology for viral vector characterization and help develop a robust process for vector production.
