Currently I have an opening for a Research Scientist I/II located in Lexington, MA. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- The Research Scientist RNAi formulations and Biophysics will be based in GNAT Research.
- The Research Scientist s a lab-based role with hands on formulation, biophysical and analytical characterization expertise of oligonucleotides for injectable delivery.
- Interacts with peers who specialize in non-viral delivery manufacturing and characterization, Oligonucleotide chemistry and stability assays, PK and Bioanalysis of Oligonucleotides.
- The goal of the team is to develop preclinical formulations of conjugated oligonucleotides apply advanced analytical characterization techniques and translate these to preclinical and clinical studies through internal and external collaborations in an automated high throughput manner.
- Manage multiple external collaborations for deliverables.
- Optimize long-term storage and stability conditions of RNAi conjugates and oligonucleotide formulations.
- Develop robust analytical methods and assays for QC and developability assessments.
- Formulation, biophysical and analytical characterization expertise of oligonucleotides for injectable delivery.
- Synthesis, characterization, and purification techniques NMR, HPLC (analytical and preparative), Mass Spectrometry, IR, silica gel and reverse phase chromatography, TLC, recrystallization etc.
- 3 years of relevant experience with a PHD (LEVEL II) or 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters (LEVEL I) with experience in formulation (siRNA, proteins, peptides, antibodies, oligonucleotides), and analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, MS, IR, RP-HPLC, TLC, recrystallization, etc.
Technical Information:
- Pay: $40-43 (Master's level I) or $44.00-$52.84 (PhD level II)
- Onsite, M-F, 8am-5pm
- 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion
