What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift position at The Fountainhead Group,Inc.?
POSITION OVERVIEW: Primarily responsible for the maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of electrical systems for the company’s manufacturing equipment and facilities.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation, setup, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment electrical and mechanical systems including but not limited to: robots, PLC’s, drilling, injection molding, blow molding, granulators, grinders, screen printers, and general purpose automated/manual machines.
- Observe all prescribed and standard safety rules and regulations, and work within the confines of the hazardous material guidelines.
- Maintain awareness of environmental regulations (EPA, OSHA, Etc) and help assure compliance.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment including air, water, heating, and other related services and its relationship to electrical power.
- Order, inventory and organize required spare parts for plant equipment and critical work centers.
- Troubleshoot tooling, equipment and processes to resolve technical and maintenance problems.
- Promptly maintain/repair all safety and codes related aspects of FGI facilities.
- Assist with manufacturing process improvements, cost reductions and quality improvement initiatives.
- Minimize waste through set up reduction, scrap reduction, improved material and machine utilization.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.
- Individual must be highly motivated, organized and exhibit a sense of urgency.
- All other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to automatic and manual assembly equipment
- Proven mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with PLC programming
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
