Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. This role is essential in supporting the lead teacher in delivering engaging educational experiences, particularly in early childhood education settings. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with students, helping them develop essential skills while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Provide support to students in their learning processes, encouraging participation and engagement.
- Maintain effective classroom management to create a positive learning environment.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure safety and adherence to guidelines.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed.
- Support children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, through tailored educational strategies.
- Facilitate toddler care routines, ensuring that all children receive appropriate attention and care.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in an educational or daycare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Experience in classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly environment.
- Knowledge of special education practices, particularly for children with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Background in Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their development.
