Estimating and Pricing Specialist

Overview:

Estimators will support an estimating team in preparing and negotiating a Lump Sum estimates for a large scale construction project

Responsibilities:

· Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.).

· Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects in the infrastructure market

· Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans.

· Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers.

· Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process.

· Performing site visits and investigations as needed.

Qualifications:

· Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred.

· Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling, cost control, specifications, and engineering drawings.

· 5 yrs of construction/engineering experience, specifically with heavy civil infrastructure projects.

· Knowledge of construction methods, costs and techniques.

· Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA Requirements.

· Experience with CADD and 3D Modeling software preferred.

· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

· Possess strong mathematical and computer skills.

· Must be able to meet deadlines.

· Effective oral and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

· Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.

· Must be willing to travel as the job requires

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
