What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director - Early Childhood position at the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities?
Coordinates with Director, Associate Directors, and staff.
Supervise classroom staff which includes collecting lesson plans, team reports, attending monthly team meetings, providing classroom management oversight. Supervises staff; screens, interviews and recommends applicants for hire; recommends assignments, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, grievance resolutions and other personnel actions; conducts performance evaluations of ECLC staff. Ensures adequate classroom staffing.
Maintain the integrity of DODD Early Intervention services through Blended Program.
Responsible for the following job duties at the Early Childhood Learning Community: Building operations, facility management, Step Up To Quality, safety reports & overall compliance, ECLC retreat.
Takes the lead on ECE recruitment events; recruits for ECE positions through activities such as speaking at university courses, setting up novel field experiences, posting via social media and online search tools; promptly conducts phone screenings according to an established script after applicants apply to the posted position; summarizes all hiring data and disseminates this information as appropriate; conducts team interviews; serves as a point of contact and resource for all hires; supports the onboarding of all new ECE hires; devices recruitment strategy and action steps for the strategy.
Acts as liaison for university student placements and recruitment to include: manages placements and research; offers student tours; visits universities in Central Ohio to promote ECE; oversees research proposals.
Conducts regular classroom observations. Coordinate New Staff Orientation for center-based staff. Oversee the summer center: prepares enrollee application, child placement, hires staff, teacher placement, sends letters to families and staff.
Supports all volunteer activities. Approve requisitions under specified amount.
Performs other duties as assigned.
