What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Administrator position at the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities?
Provides contract administration and related services to support the Legal Services Department, including drafting, reviewing, updating, redlining, and negotiating (as needed) of legal agreements under the supervision of Legal Counsel. Under supervision, performs the review of legal agreements; analyzes the agreements and revises contractual terms and conditions. Assists in the drafting, review and revising of contracts, addendums and other legal documents as directed by Legal Counsel.
Ensures that executed copies of legal agreements are accurate and well-maintained. Ensures that all parties adhere to the terms, conditions and deliverables of legal agreements. Explain terms and conditions to parties. Assists Legal Counsel with developing an electronic process for receiving and processing agencywide Contract Requests to include – simple review/updates to complex draft requests.
Assists the Department Heads or designee with negotiating contract issues. Serves as a point of contact for agency’s employees related to Contract Requests and the contract administration process. Ensure that departments understand and comply with agency responsibilities enumerated in the legal agreements. Provides education and training to agency employees regarding contractual terms and procedures.
Assists Legal Counsel in ensuring that agreements and grant applications are consistent and compliant with law, regulations, and agency policies.
Confers with management personnel to assess, plan, develop and implement upcoming legal agreements.
Provides grant administration and related services to support the Legal Services Department, under the supervision of Legal Counsel. Monitors and evaluates agency programs during the life of the grant to ensure compliance to grant conditions, funding source requirements, and goal achievements. Assists Department Heads in collecting and maintaining federally and state mandated data unique to each grant and assists with preparing the required reports for each grant.
Tracks the lifecycle of agency legal agreements and grants. Sends reminders to agency staff who are responsible for renewal.
Keeps abreast of legislation that may impact agency and informs Legal Counsel of recommended action, if appropriate.
Provides support to Legal Counsel regarding legal agreements and grants. Practices confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned.
