What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at The French Workshop?
Our Bakers are in charge of taking care of our pastries and cookies. They are excellent with time-management, work well with others, and are able to remain calm and focused when things get busy in the shop. We look for reliable candidates with great work ethic.
Other responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all products are of quality
- Adjusting oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
- Tracking inventory and supplies
- Preparing and boxing baked goods for display tables
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls
- Monitoring and reporting production quantities to minimize waste
- Cleaning and storing all baking equipment and ingredients
- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Communicating with management to place orders for any necessary products
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Skills:
- Excellent at multitasking and problem solving
- Organization and time management
Required:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Able to work 10 hour days standing and walking
- Able to work in cold conditions, freezers and refrigerators
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
