A Day In The Life
As a Business Intelligence Lead, you will empower the business by gathering and analyzing data, identifying opportunities, measuring performance, and providing key insights to drive data-driven decision-making. You will oversee the development, measurement and improvement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop professional dashboards and reports using data analytics tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI. As a Bus Intelligence Lead you will:
- ### Data Analysis and Insights:
- Provide and lead Business Intelligence, process improvement, analytics, and dashboard design and communication for key areas within the GST Business.
- Manage the process of gathering, analyzing and integrating data from multiple data sources into dashboards and BI models to support GST Business Strategy, identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Measure performance against established KPIs and provide actionable insights to the business.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business drivers and objectives, ensuring that your insights contribute to improving decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Excel, Tableau, and Power BI to support data-driven decision-making. Familiar with SQL for access, retrieve, sort, and updates to relational databases.
- Challenge the status quo by leveraging data-driven insights to enhance business outcomes and processes.
- Identify areas for process improvement by analyzing data to spot trends and uncover issues, then collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement effective solutions.
- ### Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster collaboration among team members and business associates to share insights and improve data-driven practices.
- Communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to facilitate data sharing and insights, fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Function as a liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of analytical needs and outcomes.
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss findings, insights, and actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
- ### Continuous Learning and Development:
- Encourage knowledge sharing and development among team via developing training materials and conduct workshops to enhance the data literacy of team members and business associates.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and visualization tools.

What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree in: Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Data and Analytics with 8-10 years of total experience or possess an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- 4-6 years years of experience in business intelligence or data and analytics, with a focus on improving and supporting business operations. Required
- Extremely curious with a strong desire to use data, analytics, and data driven insights to improve business outcomes.
- Excellent analytical (statistical analysis) and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Critical thinking skills to assess not only the implications of the data they collect, but about what data they should be collecting in the first place.
- Be both detail-oriented and a big picture thinker and move easily between handling and analyzing complex data to determining how to use that data to make recommendations that can improve the business.
- Understand and be comfortable across different facets of business analytics including: Descriptive Analytics (what is happening right now to the business?); Diagnostic Analytics (why is it happening?); Predictive Analytics (what's likely to happen in the future?); and Prescriptive Analytics (what do I need to do to succeed?).
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI, with a demonstrated ability to develop professional dashboards and reports.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
