Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational curriculum for preschool children
- Create & or implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development in various areas such as literacy, math, physical education, and special education
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, progress, and behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise
Skills:
- Experience working with children in a childcare or daycare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to educate and engage children in a variety of subjects, including literacy, math, and physical education
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and fellow staff members
- Understanding of special education needs and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning abilities
- Excellent organizational skills to manage lesson plans, records, and classroom materials

Requirements:
Teacher
-Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (min 60 credits with 6 in early childhood education required)
Assistant:
- High school diploma or GED required, college coursework, especially in ECE preferred
Teacher AND Assistant:
- Previous experience working in a daycare or child welfare setting
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
