What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foundations Relations Manager position at The Front Door Agency?
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of the Front Door Agency, a keen understanding of its programs and goals, and the ability to articulate the important role the organization plays in the lives of so many families in the Greater Nashua area.
The position requires demonstrated experience in achieving successful grant support from private and governmental sources; and must have the ability to manage a comprehensive foundation database in order to meet critical deadlines of submission and reporting.
The key role of the position will be to maintain, nourish and cultivate closer giving relationships with current foundation partners, research potential new partners, and work closely with the CEO on governmental proposals and contracts.
The ideal candidate must have strong organizational and planning skills, ability to think strategically and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
This hourly position is considered for Part time (20-25 hrs/wk). Opportunity for Flexible Hybrid schedule after initial 90 days.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- a minimum of three years of senior level development experience; proven track record in achieving or exceeding annual goals for fundraising through foundation giving and state and federal grants; and demonstrated track record of success in increasing both the number of gifts, the size of gifts and relationships with foundation giving officers
- Organized, creative, highly analytical and have excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong computer skills
- General flexibility and ease of movement between multiple projects
- Ability to sell a vision and to solicit support for its implementation
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to think strategically
- Excellent written and oral communication skills that is effective with a broad diversity of audiences
- Must be deadline driven.
