Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling to individuals, couples, and families, utilizing various therapeutic techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health and the ability to work with diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities and geriatric clients. The Psychotherapist will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavioral Therapy.
- Offer grief counseling and support for clients experiencing loss or significant life changes.
- Implement behavior management strategies tailored to the needs of clients with developmental disabilities.
- Collect and analyze research data related to client progress and treatment effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Stay informed about current trends in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a Psychotherapist or equivalent credential.
- Experience in mental health counseling, particularly in behavioral health settings.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Grief Counseling.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of research data collection methods is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in practice.
- Must have Lcas, mental health license or substance abuse license supervision license
