From appetizers and salads to enticing entrees and unique desserts, there’s something to impress every palate. We are seeking an Event Sales Manager for our Mount Laurel location to lead our in-house Sales team.  Position Summary:

The Event Sales Manager, reporting to both the Corporate Director of Sales and the General Manager. This position will help drive sales, manage sales efforts for the property for corporate and social events, respond to incoming inquiries in a timely manner, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction. This role involves helping identify, qualify and solicit new business to help achieve revenue goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing Sales Activities

• Respond to incoming inquiries in a timely manner.

• Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.

• Design, develop, and sell creative catered events.

• Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence, etc.).


2. Client Relationship Management

• Execute exemplary customer service to drive client satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the client and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their event.

• Serve the client by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate package that best meets their needs and exceeds their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to The Funplex.

• Monitor the effective resolution of guest issues that may arise.

• Ensure that the property implements a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering a high level of service.


3. Event Coordination and Execution

·        Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of events.

·        Oversee the planning and coordination of events, ensuring all details are managed effectively.

·        Address any issues that arise during events to ensure client satisfaction.


5. Marketing and Promotion

·        Assist to develop and execute marketing campaigns with the marketing team to promote catering services.

·        Utilize social media, digital marketing, and traditional marketing channels to reach target audiences.

·        Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.


6. Financial Management

·        Monitor and manage the catering sales budget, including expenses and revenue tracking.

·        Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize profitability.

·        Prepare regular financial reports for senior management.


7. Administrative Duties

·        Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and event details.

·        Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.

·        Manage CRM software and ensure data integrity.


 Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience in event sales or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

·        Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

·        Strong leadership and team management skills.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

·        Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·        Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
