We currently have a career opportunity available for an experienced Housekeeping Houseman.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Housekeeping Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
· Remove soiled linen and terry from Housekeeping carts
· Remove garbage from Housekeeping carts and replace with new liner
· Deliver supplies to Housekeepers in a timely manner
· Deliver items to guest rooms upon request from guests or the Front Desk using brand service standards
· Maintain cleanliness of guest hallways by vacuuming, dusting, and reporting damage to maintenance
· Maintain cleanliness of Housekeeping storage and work areas by removing garbage, laundry, dirty dishes, and restocking supplies
· Wash and return glasses to Housekeepers using proper equipment and sanitization processes according to brand standards
· Maintain cleanliness of main garbage/recycling area of the hotel
· Sign in and out master keys daily
· Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
· Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
· Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards
· Report necessary maintenance items
· Follow all safety and sanitation policies
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have high volume cleaning experience
- Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Must be available to work AM shift, weekends and holidays
Physical Aspects of Position:
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs, or more
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
