Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service skills, and experience with relevant software systems. Phlebotomy skills are advantageous. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic health record systems such as Athena Health
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing them to appropriate staff members.
- Handle clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient flow and enhance service delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a dental or medical office is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of medical billing processes is essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (experience with Athena Health is a plus).
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.32 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
