What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal and Facility Caretaker position at The Gardendale Veterinary Clinic?
Revolving around the care and upkeep for our large animal patients (primarily horses) and the facilities that house them, you will be a key member of a health care team. There is support and oversight but you must be able to work independently, efficiently and safely outside. Physical labor and effort are involved. Specifically, you will feed, water and clean up after the livestock housed at our clinic. Additionally you will be resposible for the grounds and facility maintenance. Included are moving hay, using heavy equipment, fence repair, mowing, cleaning, while maintaining the equipment used for those duties. A background in farm/ranch work, general mechanical ability, and livestock care/handling will be important in this position.
