Location: Gardens at Millville, Millville, PA
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $11 - $13 per hour
Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with every other weekend and holiday required
Gardens at Millville is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging recreational, social, and emotional activities under the guidance of the Director of Activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the emotional, recreational, and social needs of residents are met on an individual basis.
- Assist residents with everyday tasks such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote.
- Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and participation in activities.
- Support activities such as mail delivery, escorting residents to programs, plant and pet care, preparing newsletters, fundraising efforts, and making morning announcements.
- Facilitate creative activities, including crafts, painting, and other projects that promote self-expression and engagement.
- Carry out programs that foster entertainment, communication, relaxation, and opportunities for residents to explore their creative talents and fulfill social, psychological, and spiritual needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in long-term care or working with the elderly or disabled is desirable.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
