Job Summary:
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality care to residents with diverse needs, including therapeutic, neuro, and dementia care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, work effectively under the direction of the Charge Nurse, and maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents.
CNA Job Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, as outlined in the established Care Plan
- Ensure all residents are out of bed according to their Care Plan
- Interact with residents, family members, co-workers, and clinical staff in a non-judgmental and supportive manner
- Perform additional duties as assigned to follow the Care Plan
CNA Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, obtained through a State-approved training program and examination
- Current certification documentation required upon application
Work Setting: Long-term care facility, nursing home
Shift Options: Day shift, evening shift, night shift
Schedule: Monday-Friday, rotating weekends
