What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide - FT Days / Nights -Assisted Living Facility position at The Gardens At Park Pointe Healthcare?
The Gardens Assisted Living Community, located in Morris, IL. We have an excellent opportunity for energetic, motivated Dietary Aide to be part of our team. Senior living experience is not required, we welcome candidates from all industries!
We are looking to fill a morning and afternoon shifts including alternating weekends.
In this position you will provide the residents with care and compassion, while providing an excellent dining experience.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Dietary Aides serve food including texture modified and therapeutic diets according to the facility menu.
- Prepare meal trays in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, in line with our established policies and procedures, as directed by the Dietary Manager, to ensure that quality food service is provided at all times.
- Assist in assuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.
- Must be detail-oriented, well-groomed, act professionally and must be a team player who works well with others.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, food safety/sanitation requirements and procedures.
- Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
- Ability to read and accurately follow customized resident order requests.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to interact positively with residents, coworkers, and the public.
