As a Part-Time Driver at The Gardens at Quail Springs, your day-to-day expectations will keep you engaged and active! You'll start your shift by reviewing the schedule and routes for the day-talk about a scenic adventure ahead! Your main responsibility will be safely transporting residents to various destinations, such as doctor appointments, outings, and activities, while ensuring their comfort and well-being.
You'll also assist residents in entering and exiting the vehicle, provide friendly conversation to brighten their day, and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle. Regular communication with the team is key, as you'll collaborate closely to ensure smooth operations. Knowledge and skills required for the position are :
Knowledge :
- Traffic Laws and Regulations : Understanding of local traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
- Vehicle Maintenance : Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures to keep the community vehicle(s) in good working condition.
- Senior Care : Familiarity with the needs and challenges of senior residents
- including mobility assistance and safety considerations.
- Activity Planning : Understanding of how to support and facilitate activities and events for senior residents.
- First Aid and CPR : Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus
- to handle any emergencies that may arise during transportation or activities.
