Overview
As a community Driver your primary responsibility is to provide safe and friendly transportation for our residents in our retirement community, using one of our company vehicles. This individual will work closely with the Activity Director, Staffing Director, and Receptionists to coordinate the transportation schedule. There will be times when an Activity Assistant will drive residents to and from appointments and on outings. We encourage you apply.
Responsibilities
- Safely drives residents from the Community to appointments as scheduled
- Safely drives residents from the Community to scheduled activities and outings if needed
- Assist residents to the Community vehicle and assist them on and off the vehicle
- Ensure the Community vehicles are maintained in accordance with the owner’s manual, including proper oil and fuel
- Cleans interior and exterior of Community vehicles
- Responsible for maintaining Community vehicles registration
- Report any changes in resident’s activity participation as well as any physical, cognitive or emotional fluctuations, to the Health and Wellness Director or Life Enrichment Director
- Assist with delivering mail and packages to residents
- Promote teamwork, inter-departmentally and intra-departmentally
- Work as a team with care staff to address resident needs
- Assists team with activities, events, and functions when possible
- Communicates professionally and effectively with residents, families and co-workers
- Present a professional demeanor that communicates the Community philosophy to all residents and staff
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Staffing Director
- Report all emergency situations, reportable incidents, staffing issues and observable changes in resident behaviors and/or health status to their direct supervisor
- Places time off requests in through Paylocity and communicates with Staffing Manager regarding time off requests following community policy and employee handbook.

- Must be at least 21 years of age

Working Conditions
- May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc. Please wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to meet physical demands of lifting and moving over 30 pounds, sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours. Moving at a high pace for long periods of time. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the state of Colorado.
Hours and Dress Code
- Non-exempt, hourly position. Must be available on weekends.
- Business casual which includes slacks or khakis, dress shirt or blouse, open-collar or polo shirt, knit shirt or sweater, and loafers or close-toed shoe.
