Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide support for individuals with senior care needs, including those in hospice or memory care settings.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure the health and safety of clients.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by facilitating their daily routines and encouraging independence.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used for client safety.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care, senior care, hospice care, or group home settings is preferred.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Cooking skills are a plus for meal preparation duties.
- Knowledge of memory care practices is beneficial for working with clients experiencing cognitive decline.
