The Garrett Group is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Operations Research Analyst I to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in support of USSTRATCOM's Configuration Management program. This position focuses on Configuration Management Planning, Identification, Control, and Status Accounting. The analyst will be responsible for developing CM plans, updating relevant policies, coordinating resources, conducting training sessions, and performing verification and auditing activities to ensure program compliance and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities: The analyst will oversee the development and maintenance of the USSTRATCOM CM Plan, including the annual update of CM policies and Strategic Instructions. They will coordinate and document resource requirements and support integrated product teams and working groups, such as the CMCWG, CIWG, and IRWG.
In support of training and assessment efforts, the analyst will create CM training plans and deliver instruction across various user levels. They will also conduct quarterly assessments to evaluate CM plan execution and recommend process improvements.
The role includes identifying and documenting Configuration Items (CIs) and contributing to the development and integration of configuration documentation across functional areas. The analyst will participate in configuration control processes, including the review and coordination of engineering change proposals.
Additionally, the analyst will support status accounting and reporting functions by recording audit results, supporting Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) activities, and reporting on installation statuses and operational efficiency. They will provide data-driven insights and metrics to inform performance evaluations and decision-making processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in configuration management or process improvement roles.
- Familiarity with CM standards such as EIA-649C and MIL-HDBK-61A.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting government or military programs is preferred.
- Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
