Shifts Available: full time
The Gary Residence is seeking a Maintenance Assistant who will work closely with the Maintenance Director to help maintain the facility by completing routine tasks, performing preventive maintenance and ensuring the community is safe and attractive. The ideal candidate will bring compassion and a desire to work with the elderly. Relevant work experience (1 years) is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Mowing the lawn.
- Maintaining sidewalks and parking areas.
- Shoveling snow.
- Trash/recyclables/compost removal.
- Equipment servicing.
- Apartment refurbishing.
- Facility painting/touch up painting.
Qualifications:
- Must have painting experience.
- Ability to repair minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical problems properly.
- Ability to operate power tools, lawn equipment and snow-removal equipment.
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- Must pass appropriate background checks and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Pay: $25.00– $27.00 per hour
