What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Program Supervisor position at The GateHouse?
The GateHouse is looking for a Certified Recovery Specialist or a person working towards certification to oversee residential functions at our residential extended care facility.

Reports to: Clinical Director
Hours: Monday - Friday and rotating on-call duties
8:00 am - 4:00 pm most days (can vary depending on facility need)
Summary Statement:
This full-time position involves the management, operation, and security of the residential household. The Residential Program Supervisor oversees the house staff to assure that house task are completed correctly and in the appropriate timeframe. The Residential Program Supervisor provides support and works closely with the clinical staff and may be assigned additional tasks by the Clinical Director.
Client Oriented Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Organize, delegate and prepare weekly chore list, group schedule and meal menu.
2. Ensure that the overall cleanliness of the house and grounds are up to par.
3. Communicate with clinical staff via the staff log.
4. Record client’s chore performance weekly and complete observation notes of clients during shift, as necessary.
5. Monitor the taking of medications by clients; document in the medication log; and assure that all medications are properly secured.
6. Complete Incident Reports, as needed.
7. Perform involuntary discharges as necessary, with aftercare plan.
8. Participate in Case Consultations as needed
9. Facilitate house meetings, seminars, bell ringing, as needed. At bell ringing, mediate and offer input when necessary; document the event.
10. Perform observed drug screens when necessary.
11. Enforce GateHouse Guidelines and administer appropriate discipline for guideline violations such as issuing verbal and/or written warnings.
12. Ensure clients attendance at AA/NA meetings through Recovery Specialists.
13. Coordinates transportation in collaboration with Case Manager and Recovery Specialists.
Household Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Inventory, order, pick-up, and maintain household and food supplies.
2. Plan Client Menus.
3. Oversee the planning of weekend recreational activities for the residents.
4. Monitor, assign, and record monthly drills and complete the fire drill log/health and safety binder in accordance with policy.
5. Maintain safe and organized medication drawers to include recording disposal of overflow medications monthly, and weekly audit.
6. In coordination with the Facilities Manager, maintain GateHouse vehicles are in good operational condition and service as recommended.
7. Responsible for GateHouse security during scheduled hours.
8. Remain aware of maintenance needs and communicating these needs to the Maintenance worker.
9. Supervise Recovery Specialists through performance reviews, quarterly or monthly meetings, and individual supervision as needed.
10. Maintain a Serve Safe certification.
Supervisory Duties and Responsible:
1. Rotate on-call duties with Clinical Director.
2. Conducts monthly and/or quarterly meetings with house staff.
3. Provide supervision and issues disciplinary action when appropriate to house staff.
4. Completes annual training planning of house staff.
5. Completes 90-day and annual reviews of house staff.
6. Conducts interviews of potential house staff.
7. Responsible for training house staff.
8. Stays current on CARF and DDAP polices effecting residential care.
9. Attends Leadership, Management, Supervisory trainings as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience within a therapeutic environment. Must be familiar with drug and alcohol treatment programs.
2. Must have a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
3. Must be an approved driver by H.E.A.R. Inc.’s insurance company.
4. A minimum of a high school diploma, Associates degree or higher preferred.
5. CRS/CFRS or working towards certification

1. Must be able to communicate and follow up with staff on all levels.
2. Must be able to climb stairs.
3. Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
4. Must have knowledge of persons served.
5. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
