Job Summary:
As a key member of the Denver Gazette team, the Features Reporter pursues human interest, enterprise and off-beat stories. We’re looking for a superb writer, someone adept at pursuing magazine-style profiles and big-picture trend pieces, as well as short stories.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write compelling stories that celebrate people’s triumphs against adversity
- Produce clean, accurate and tight copy in a timely fashion
- Collaborate and maintain strong working relationship with other staffers
- Deploy multiple tools, such as video, and platforms, notably social media, to convey stories
- Develop a wide range of sources in metro Denver
- Familiar with SEO requirements and other strategies to draw in and engage a wider audience

Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements:
- Five years of experience in feature or enterprise writing
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or mass communications, or a similar field
