Provides leadership and management direction of a physical damage claim adjusting team. Claim adjusting teams investigate and maintain physical damage casualty claims. Determines liability, secures information, reviews coverages, arranges appraisals, and settles claims. You will work from home and will report to the Physical Damage Senior Manager. Directs conformity with the terms of each policy and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, established standards, and procedures of the company. Will specialize in physical damage and lead a team of desk adjusters. You will supervise and oversee all physical damage needs, to include supervision of Appraisers, Independent Appraisal services and Direct Repair Program (DRP) Shops. As a manager, you will support your team through desk audits, hiring, and coaching while focused on employee engagement.

Position Compensation Range:

$86,000.00 - $142,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

*Leads with influence and expertise. Actively contributes to division or department leadership team. Communicates and supports organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices.
*Supports and environment of teaming where adjusters make decisions and close files within and outside of their assigned inventory. Foresees issues that may require intervention. Develops and shares innovative and effective solutions for dealing with problems, situations and conflicts.
*Complies with Unfair Claims Practices Acts and ensures handling of claims in good faith. Adheres to Local and Corporate Guidelines, Company Claim Bulletins, and the Company Code of Ethics. Responds to inquiries and handles complaints from individuals or their representatives, insurance departments, Consumer Affairs, and other agencies.
*Establishes, communicates, and implements departmental plans, objectives, and strategies.
*Participates as member of the management team.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
*Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
*Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
*Demonstrated ability to work independently at a location removed from immediate supervision.
*Solid knowledge of property casualty insurance/claim industry and regulatory environment.
*Demonstrated ability to handle complex losses in situations that require tact, diplomacy, and persuasion under changing conditions.
*Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of office and field claim handling processes.
*Demonstrated thorough understanding policy language, coverages and underwriting intent.
*Demonstrated experience in a claim administrator, specialist, examiner, or role with equivalent exhibited knowledge, skills, and performance.

Additional Qualifications

*Auto appraisal experience within the insurance industry is required.

*Estimating platform experience with Mitchell, Audatex, or CCCOne is preferred.

*Leadership experience is preferred.

*Ability to think critically and problem-solve.

Licenses
*Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.
*Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.

Travel Requirements
*Up to 10%.

In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4 days per week) working from home, proximate to one of our office locations (within approximately 35-50 miles). Candidates should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of the following office location: Nashville, TN 37214; Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Atlanta, GA metro area; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034. On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events.
