What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydromat Operator position at The Gent Machine Company?
The Hydromat Operator will have a variety of daily responsibilities including operating Hydromat equipment, gaging parts, preparing raw material, and keeping the area clean. Operators will be responsible for routine maintenance on the machines and must also be able to follow specific instructions and work in a safety-oriented manner.

- Operate and maintain equipment
- Check parts off machine to ensure they comply with print specifications
- Move material by hand or assisted with equipment when needed
- Clean work area, including mopping
- Perform various maintenance activities
- Work with office and supporting departments
Qualification Requirements:
- Must be able to read non digital micrometers
- Must be able to read blue prints
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Must be detail oriented in order to ensure parts meet print specifications
- Must be cooperative and a team player
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to do basic mathematics: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Trigonometry is a plus.

- Previous Hydromat experience strongly preferred.

- Sit, stand and walk on oily surfaces
- Moving material routinely
- Lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
