Library Services Coordinator
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Library Services Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of our library, ensuring that all services are provided in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the ordering, cataloging, and arrangement of books and materials for the library collection.
- Assist in training and directing detainee library aides to perform tasks such as shelving books and processing new materials.
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons by helping them select library books, periodicals, and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of library circulation, inventory, newspapers, and magazines.
- Support instructors with library orientation and provide assistance as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in library sciences or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a library setting, preferably in a small institutional library.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and push/pull up to 60 pounds occasionally.
- Willingness to work with machinery and climb occasionally.
