General Job Description: To excel as a Patient Coordinator, you should possess a pleasant personality, strong work ethic, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. The ideal candidate will be articulate, well-spoken, and capable of explaining procedures, answering questions, providing financial quotes, and scheduling surgeries with a professional demeanor. Above all, the patient coordinator must maintain composure when faced with challenging situations, demonstrating empathy and instilling trust and confidence in our patients.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emails, establishing strong relationships and rapport with each patient.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with potential patients to encourage engagement and consideration of our services.
- Perform daily administrative duties, including handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and managing patient follow-up tasks.
- Efficiently schedule surgeries, collaborating with office staff, practice managers, physicians, anesthesia providers, and patients.
- Utilize software tools such as spreadsheets and Microsoft Word for lead management and data input, identifying trends and proposing strategies for practice growth.
- Conduct effective client consultations to determine goals, educate patients, and set realistic expectations regarding possible results.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by interacting regularly with patients, addressing concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Assist prospective patients in making informed decisions regarding surgical treatments and procedures.
- Take initiative and demonstrate a desire for professional growth within the practice, contributing to the maintenance of social media and other marketing aspects.
- Actively advancing the practice market and scope
- Assisting Office Manager with a variety of projects, research and tasks depending on individual’s skillset
Qualifications/Experience:
- Preferred BS, BA or MBA degree.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to make an outstanding first impression.
- Strong multitasking and time-management abilities, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a dedication to treating every patient with personalized care and building rapport.
- Ability to think independently.
